We went to see Civil War today, which was good, but too long. However, we also saw the trailer for Rogue One . To say I am intrigued would be an understatement. Also, +1 for another strong female lead character.

I rewatched epvii and played some battlefront today and remembered how excited I was for this one.

Up until the trailer, I’d been a little disappointed by Rogue One , if only because it didn’t seem to be the Rogue Squadron movie I’d been hoping for/expecting since they announced the name. That pretty much went out the window within the first few seconds of the trailer, and it’s my most anticipated movie at the mo. (I’m generally more of a Star Trek guy, honestly, but even though I liked a bit of what I saw in the most recent Beyond trailer, my utter, utter hatred of the first two nuTrek films is making me dread, rather than look forward to, what’s coming. New TV show’ll hopefully be good, though.)

Yup! Ever since TFA, I’ve been massively chuffed about how the people making
Star Wars
seem to have realised that women don’t have to be limited to supporting characters in big sci-fi action movies.
This generation’s Luke Skywalker is a woman
, and there really aren’t words to describe how happy that makes me.
Bring on Episode VII!

I don’t know much at all about the whole SW franchise outside of the movies. I’ve heard of Rogue Squadron, but that’s about it. Having seen Ep. IV in the theater back in the day (before it was Ep. IV), this trailer pushed all the right buttons.
Also, why does Mark Hamill look like a panhandler?

There was a fairly popular series of books, some comics, and a game. Basically, Wedge Antilles from the films leads an elite squadron of fighter pilots, who go about performing various feats of derring do in X-Wings.
Oh, and as it turns out, if you take away the robe and the lightsaber, the line between Jedi Master and hobo becomes so thin as to be nonexistent.

If you take away the light sabre, the linE between Jedi and Hobo in a bathrobe gets pretty flimsy

Or, to look at it another way:
The Dude would make for a pretty sweet Jedi.

If only you could with half of the do or do not philosophy.

‘Do, or do not: there is no try .’
The Dude’s commitment to never trying is legendary; Yoda would love him.
